Message-ID: <1991Mar12.031843.2918@oakhill.sps.mot.com> Date: 12 Mar 91 03:18:43 GMT Distribution: na Organization: Motorola Inc., Austin, Texas Lines: 16 I recently ordered an accelerator board for my SE and it has the capability to use ram that is installed on the accelerator (32-bit wide). I ordered 4 low-profile, 1-Mbyte SIMMs, but, when I installed them and tried to re-install the SE motherboard into the SE chassis, it wouldn't fit because the RAMs were too high. These SIMMs are 21mm in height. I got 2 other SIMMs (TI) last year just for memory expansion, these are 17mm tall. I installed these, and the board fit like a glove. So: does anyone know if there is a standard height for "low-profile" SIMMs? Also does anyone know where I can get 17mm, 70ns SIMMS? -- Motorola Semiconductor Inc.
