In reaponse to your summary of Deskwriter/Imagewriter clones: I've read of 
two IW clones, the Olympia NLP 80 and the Seikosha SP 2000AP. The Seikosha 
has been advertised (mail-order) at $210.00 and I am trying to get one for a 
 shake-down. Yeah, it's dot-matrix, but you can't sneeze at that price.  I 
will post the results at=fter I've had a chance to try one out.(By that time 
you may be driving a DeskWriter.
