One of the very rare useful features of troff that is lacking in Word is 
a program "refer" that makes it possible to automatically insert references to
literature in a paper and to gather the corresponding
bibliographic info in a list of references.

Does there exist similar Macintosh software that makes it possible to maintain
a bibliographic database, and to insert references in papers?
Where can I find it?
