Message-ID: <0&D#C%#@linac.fnal.gov> Date: 13 Mar 91 17:19:31 GMT Sender: daemon@linac.fnal.gov (Mr. Background) Organization: Fermilab Lines: 30 I am writing a program in Think Pascal that uses the TCL. I have bumped into a few problems and solved some of them, but would like some feedback from others: 1) The AdustCursor method seems to get called in a loop, even though I set the mouseRgn correctely. What this causes is the mouse, as well as another window's contents (where I write text during the method), to flicker and delays of update events (and others.) 2) How does one use a scroll-pane and include some extra controls in the scrollbar area? My solution was to override IscrollPaneX and include the extra stuff there, but that doesn't seem healthy. Do I need to do the whole scroll-pane bit myself (I.e. do what ScrollPane does?) 3) There seems to be too much goddam flickering during update events! I can't find any way to control this. 4) Moving/Resizing an EditPane fails! Some of the TE boxes are not correctly updated to reflect the new position and size of the EditPane. Thanks in advance for any help - Yossie P.s. is there a (semi) complete list of bugs in the TCL? Anything would be useful. --- yossie@fnal.fnal.gov; yossie@fnccf.bitnet What did the Caspian Sea? - Saki
