Our NW386 currently map.exe 's z: to sys: and y: to a "devel:".
After this mapping, these drive letters are assigned to SYS_VOL and DEVEL_VOL
in the DOS environment.

I cannot dream up a way to take the map.exe *1: , the first network drive,
information and place it into the environment.

DOS SET HOME_VOL="*1" 

doesn't seem to work.  This is not "pre-defined" like %USER_ID and other things
like that.
