One choice would be to turn on the VTAM Internal Trace (start with the
CIO, MSG, and SSCP options), and see what happens after VTAM does SIO;
see VTAM Diagnosis (LY30-5601 for V3R2) for details.  Decrypting the ERP
entries requires 9370 Telecommunications Subsystem Description and
Reference (SA24-4041), or equivalent for your processor.
