The system is used to run a CAD program called ARIS. He is currently having an intermittent problem with the system hanging in the middle of a drawing with no panics or messages of any kind. He is unable to switch to another virtual screen or do anything but reboot. SCO and ARIS hem and haw and generally point the finger at each other. My first guess is memory or i/o contention. He has no problem spending some money to fix the problem but he is a one-person shop and can't afford to throw money at the problem randomly. I would like to help him out but I don't normally use xenix. I was looking for a tool to check virtual memory, i/o statistics, etc. Can anyone help? ------------------------------------------------------------------- Ted Shawe uucp: rochester!cci632!sunsrvr2!mes c/o Computer Consoles, Inc. or mes@sunsrvr2.cci.com 97 Humboldt Street AT&T: 716 482-5000 x3115 Rochester, NY 14609 ....all the news that causes fits.... -------------------------------------------------------------------
