Hi all,

Thanks to all who responded to my question about setting VTA.  I think
I have an idea what to listen for.

And now for something completely different ...

I have a Target TT5 component rack (a metal brace with 5 shelfs kind
of like the type made by Arcici).  I am not at all confident of the wooden
shelfs provided for this rack (the shelves vibrate like anything)
and have been experimenting with replacing it with other things.

I know of the Brassfield isolation shelf but they are pretty expensive at
around $500 (and I need 5 of 'em!).  I thought perhaps marble slates
cut to fit the metal brace would offer an elternative to the wood.  Has
anyone experimented with anything along these lines??
