  I was planning on building my own PC and I was hoping
to get some info from someone who's already tried it.
  I plan on buying solid-state parts like motherboard,
monitor, RAM, etc. used, while buying the mechanical
parts such as hard-drive, floppy-drive, etc. new.
  Does this seem like a good idea? What are the potential
pitfalls of "build your own"?
  Also, I need some locations where I could buy used computer
parts.
