In the local newspaper one pilot reported that F-117s accounted for 2 1/2 percent of the combat aircraft in the gulf, but took out 47% of all strategic targets. He also stated that the 8 F-117s could handle the bombing load of 72 conventional aircraft. He felt with such a force multiplying ratio, the costs of the F-117 were clearly justified.
