Summary: Ingres Application Menu System wanted Keywords: ingres menu applications Message-ID: <1991Mar13.235507.19534@massey.ac.nz> Date: 13 Mar 91 23:55:07 GMT Organization: Massey University, Palmerston North, New Zealand Lines: 17 X-Reader: NETNEWS/PC Version 2.1 Massey University (NZ) is embarking on an Ingres development of the Student Record System. The production equipment will be a unix platform and displaces an HP3000 image environment. I am interested in information on Ingres Application Menu systems for release 6.0 and above - we are using V6.2 -->3 at the moment. Our users will be using predominantly dumb terminals and PC terminal emulation at this stage. Being a University site we want to be able to deliver the functionality of the system selectively with appropriate security lodged at the username level. Has anyone solved this problem? Is there a commercial solution available? What approaches have other people taken? Please email me direct. I will summarise and pass forward responses to anyone else who is interested.
