A definition of the error control scheme (MNP 2-4) is available in Annex A of CCITT Recommendation V.42. You can also get documentation from Microcom, for about US$100. MNP5, however, involves patents held by Microcom. You must contact Microcom for information on licensing these patents, even if you could get documentation (and they're really the only source for that, anyway).
