Message-ID: <91Mar16.083752est.2069@ois.db.toronto.edu> Organization: Department of Computer Science, University of Toronto Distribution: na Date: 16 Mar 91 13:38:06 GMT Lines: 21 Hi, Everybody: I have a T2500, and for some means, I can not communicate with a USRobotics HST (I think it is a 9600 bps modem). Unfortunately, the HST does not have V.32. but I could not even communcate with the HST at 2400 baud! I could connect at 2400 (CONNECT 2400), but then there are large amount of strange symbols appearing on my screen (line noises??). But when I connect the T2500 to another Telebit modem in my school, there were no strange symbols. I used the conventional command set on the manual (AT~&F1). The T2500, after connected with the HST at 2400 baud, could only transfer files at ~130 cps, because of the "line noises", the transfer protocol have to send the packet a number of times to get it through. I am no modem expert. So any help will be appriciated. Chen Wang chen@db.toronto.edu chen@db.utoronto.ca
