I emailed to modems@telebit.com and asked for the:
"TELEBIT PEP MODEM CONSIDERATIONS FOR ADVERSE COMMUNICATION LINKS"-document
and on the next day I found the document in my mailbox. - GREAT ! -

A setting of "ATS120=2J6S36=2" did all the trick :-) :-)
