A helpful person at UFL told me that he uses the *info* mode in emacs to do this - and that it's the greatest thing since sliced cheese. Tractable thing that I am, I immediately went and learned all about *info* and had quite a bit o' fun until I ran up against the wall. In this case the wall was that my system admins neglected to place a file that would look something like /elisp in the usr/local/emacs /info directory of our machine. So, what I need is a site from which someone would be able to anonymously ftp said file. Thank you much. (It's probably MIT - but more info than that would be appreciated). That helpful person from UFL directed me towards a FAQ list with message id's of 3358 and 3359 - the only trouble is they have gone to that great message dump in the sky and are no longer retrievable. Thanks for the help James mejicovs@eniac.seas.upenn.edu
