Dear Professionals
I would appreciate any hints to the following family of problems:
INPUT : A set of points in the 2D - plane
OUTPUT : An estimate of the analytical description of the curves
that are composed by the points.
EXAMPLE : An appropriate algorithm should tell me that
*
****** *
* *
*******************?
*
*
**
*
*******
************
*
*******************
are two sets of curves, where the first consists of two curves
connecting at '?' and the second is only one curve -- together
with an estimate PHI(u) = { x(u), y(u) } of the parametrical
description of all curves.
Thank You for Your attention.
Thomas
