Subject: Problem installing TK50 tape with TK70 drive

A problem has been reported to me where TK50s being read on a TK70 drive,
during a VMSINSTAL session, will cause a POSITERR when trying to advance 
to saveset B (a significantly smaller saveset than saveset A).

The very same tape installs without any problems when reading from 
a any TK50 drive and a number of TK70s.

My understanding is that DEC's diagnostics do not test TK70s in TK50 mode 
so I can't guess if these are isolated controller problems or some 
combination of revision level of the controller and/or driver rev level.

Has anyone else seen this problem?
