I wasn't going to post 1.6.11 to the whole group. There were too many problems, mostly due to the fact that I have entirely switched over to ACK ANSI compiler. Some things, like headers and libraries, didn't work perfectly with the old compiler. I didn't have the time to get it worked out. The new stdio is ANSI If there is someone who has both the time and especially the expertise to take the current version, 1.6.14, and see what has to be changed to make it work with both compilers and the old and new libraries, let me know. This is definitely NOT a job for enthusiastic beginners. Experts only. That might be reason to post the 1.5 ==> 1.6.14 diffs to the beta list. But that will still be an intermediate version. Nevertheless, people who want to get it just have to drop Glen Overby a note to get on the beta list. That list operates in burst mode. Most of the time nothing happens. Then after a new release, lots of activity. Andy Tanenbaum (ast@cs.vu.nl)
