I'm using a Maxtor LXT-200, which by virtue of it's remapping controller, looks like 15 heads, 689 cylinders, 34 sectors of MFM drive. Really, the PC can't tell the difference. Beware, tho, cause the 1.5.10 doswrite program has trouble with DOS 4.0 large partitions. I still can't write more than a 200Kbyte file to the DOS partition.
