Does anybody out there have experience with cheap vision systems. I
really want to do OCR ( on a grid roughly 64*64 ), so I doubt that
I'll need gray-scales, so a DRAM with its `lid' taken off seems
a reasonable idea.  I know that this has been done before, in the 
days when DRAMs really did have lids, but how should I approach it
now?  Are there manufactures that have a window instead of a lid?
Do CCDs cost MegaPounds ?
