I am looking for standards or other authoritative sources  which  define
alphabetical order appropriate to various languages and localities.

The only ones I know of are British Standard 1746 (or 1749 -  I  do  not
recollect), and Canadian Standard Z234.4.1-1990.

I should be very grateful if you would tell me of any others you know of.
I will post a summary of the replies.

(Sorry if you've seen this already, although I don't think my first
posting got out.)
