However for math intensive programs (RayTracing for example), you will see approximately 50% speed up. I did verify that with some sample ray traces when I put a 68010 in my A1000. Another benefit is that the 68010 will drive the system buss better.... ( With the 68010 I have had no need to do anything to my PALs. i.e. grounding/replacement ). My system has both a Memory expansion, and SCSI controller on it. However, I did recently replace the PAL's and ground them, mostly for the added assurance of not having any problems. Some older programs will have problems... but DeciGel takes care of that for me. In all, $10 is a worth while update to any stock Amiga, if you can't afford to add 32 Bit memory or an 020/030 to the system. Just don't expect fantastic speed increases. It would be nice if C= would drop the 68K and start putting 68010's in A500's & A2000's.
