You sure do have a bug!  You have the mouse inversion virus. :^)  
Every fifth time you swap disks, the mouse will, as you say, go up 
instead of down and down instead of up.  Neat little critter.  I 
highly recommend you get a copy of George Woodside's Virus Killer.  I 
think the latest version is 3.81.
