You should see three vertical bars on the screen. 4: Press <- (Delete on the right hand side). 5: Press EVAL. You will get a message like: Version HP48-X Copyright HP 1989 with the X replaced with the ROM version that you have. To get out of this, 1: Hold in the ON key. 2: Press and release the C key. 3: Release ON.
