I've had no problems reading SL-formatted cartridges (or formatted by any other
driver) as long as I reboot first. In fact, the SL driver seems to like
cartridges formatted with other drivers, so if I put in an SL-formatted cart
first, I can subsequently insert carts formatted by other drivers without
having to reboot first (I don't have SL by the way; it's just that I sometimes
get sent SL-formatted carts.)
