A Mac's printer driver handles *everything* for the app. All you'd have to do to use a 12 baud printer would be plug it in, copy the driver into the System Folder, select it from the Chooser, and print. From _ANY_ app--none of this garbage about having a special driver for each program/printer combination that needs to handle graphics.
