Message-ID: <1991Mar15.163823.22576@cs.dal.ca> Date: 15 Mar 91 16:38:23 GMT Sender: news@cs.dal.ca (USENET News) Distribution: na Organization: Math, Stats & CS, Dalhousie University, Halifax, NS, Canada Lines: 21 Nntp-Posting-Host: ug.cs.dal.ca While setting up the NetAdmin parameters, I've incorrectly entered an NIS domain name. Now it hangs up on boot looking for the domain in yp. I need to remove the NIS domain specification. (What I wanted to enter was a DNS domain name). How do I boot the system in single user mode (or otherwise bypass the normal boot procedure)? What files do I edit and what do I change to undo the NIS domain name entry. (I assume I won't be so fortunate as to be able to run the NetAdmin application to make the change). Thanks!!!!
