I have a problem on some Sun 3/60s with SunOS3.5 (I know, I know, move up
to 4.1 [we can't due to the CAD and CASE software requirements]).

Somewhere in the past I screwed up these Suns and it hasn't hit until
recently.  Whenever MailTool is started, it just returns without doing
anything.  Whenever dbxtool is started it gets a `child process exits with
error 1'

What is missing that keeps both of these programs from starting?  The
mailtool man page is no help.
