Chem Eng Dept. Edinburgh University Lines: 30 Hi, I have for some time now been using a 12 node Meiko Computing Surface for the dynamic simulation of distillation columns. Up until now most of the runs which I have been doing have been reasonably short and the total number of communications sent has been around 10 000. In the last few days I have been trying some longer runs and have found that when I have sent about 80 000 messages, cs-tools reports that there is no heap left for communication. All my simulation code is in fortran, and I perform no mallocing of space from my code. So I assume that cs-tools is grabbing memory and never freeing it, although only in very small amounts given the number of communications. If anyone could shed some light on wether this is a bug, or wether it is normal, or wether I have done something really stupid, I would love to hear from you.
