Assuming that it's similar to the HiREZ-100 we had around here for a
while, several years ago, I preferred to operate it in a VT100-like
mode but using more than 24 lines.  It's easy to kick it into
Tektronix 401x mode for graphics:
	echo '\0033<\0033[H\0033[J\00331\00358` @\0033;\0037\c'
	stty ff1 -tabs </dev/tty
and back into ANSI X3.64 text mode:
	echo '\00332\0033<\c'
	echo '\0033[H\0033[J\c'	# to clear the display if desired
	stty ff0 vt0 tabs </dev/tty
(Obviously you should package the above into a shell script or two.)
I used the following termcap description with satisfactory results:
