Strangely enough, if you want to buy a Mac IIfx, it's cheaper to buy most configurations _with A/UX_ and then throw it away, than it is to buy a regular Mac IIfx. In effect, Apple is paying you to take A/UX. I think this is also true for the IIci. While this was totally merited with A/UX 1.x, it's probably overly generous for 2.0. It's just a shame they aren't a bit more reasonable about the cost of the standalone A/UX product.
