Message-ID: <1991Mar13.210500.4335@forwiss.uni-passau.de> Date: 13 Mar 91 21:05:00 GMT Sender: usenet@forwiss.uni-passau.de (USENET News System) Organization: University of Passau, Germany Lines: 20 Nntp-Posting-Host: eldron.forwiss.uni-passau.de We have a SUN Sparc 2+ with a CD-ROM drive (don't remember the name) attached. I've discovered that I can listen to a CD (containing music :-)) using xcdplay and headphones. I'd like to send the music to /dev/audio instead. Or to send it to a file. (I suppose that would be a violation of copyright law?) Does anybody know how to do it? I'd love RTFMs. All kind of information or sources of information about the format of music CDs are welcome. Please reply by mail (or in alt.cd-rom, I suppose that's the rigth newsgroup?). I'll summarize to the net. Thorbjoern -- Thorbjoern Hansen Email: hansen@forwiss.uni-passau.de
