I've been trying to use BIND/hesiod to distribute
/etc/{group,services,passwd,aliases}, but some
programs like `login', `groups' still don't want to
accept users that aren't in the /etc/passwd.

Only `sendmail' works fine with aliases that are
distributed with BIND/hesiod.

I'm sure the /etc/svc.conf is set up correctly.

Is this because some of the programs haven't been
linked with the new /usr/lib/libc.a?

I'm running Ultrix 4.1 (rev. 52) on DECstation 5000/200.

Any information is greatly appreciated.
