My Paradise driver has 512k - so it *does* have the capacity for 800x600x256. However, it is apparent that the people writing the Windows drivers for this product cannot get it together. I would suppose, now, that I have made a bad investment in this card. Oh well - live and learn. Somebody please prove me wrong - I really need 800x600x256
