However, I did not intend to imply thatwe deafies are defective communicatively. Itis just one of the academic terms frequently used to refer to an aspect of deafness. By communicative disorder, I was focusing more on the clinical aspect of deafness. By shutting out the hearing whichis the main tool of most people for purposes, the deaf are otside of the main body of communication medium. Inthat sense only did I mean communicative disoredr. Not that we are defects, sub-human etc. My apologies anyway if it seemed otherwise.
