You can turn a little knob that goes from real slow to max, or just by hand pressure on the drive grip. The fastest that it will travel is 6 miles per hour. Not a speed demon but that's a good clip. I love being able to make others keep up with me now. For years it was a real drag when I hobbled and had to keep asking and reminding people to go slooow. Now they (Basically Ray) gets to hustle to keep up with me.
