Lines: 16 We have just installed xnx143 (Usenet News for SCO Xenix) and noticed that the /usr/lib/news/active file and the rn generated .newsrc for each user have a very outdated newsgroups listing. I've tried to update the newsgroups by uucp'ing the latest newsgroups file from UUNET with no luck - we still end up with 200+ news items in junk each feed (approx). Does anyone know of a straight forward way to perform this update? I won't go so far as to edit the active file as yet for fear of breaking what IS working. To go one step further, any shell gurus (C/B/K) out there have a tip on a way to get the 'junk' items into there proper locations instead of scrapping them?
