Germany loses two more of her U-boat aces during attacks on Convoy HX-112.
Kretschmer's U-99 is depth-charged by HMS Walker; some of its crew,
including Kretschmer, is captured.   Schepke's U-100 is rammed and sunk
by HMS Vanoc.

Indian infantry stages an amphibious landing at Berbera, East Africa.
Other Indian troops finally capture Keren, and hold the positions
against determined Italian counterattacks.

Hitler speaks in Berlin, promising an Axis victory in 1941.

Ulrich von der Osten, German Military Intel officer a.k.a. Julio
Lopez Lido, arrives in New York through Japan... to lead espionage-
sabotage groups in the NY area.
