Hello,

We are proud to anounce the first beta-release of our network monitor,
"The Beholder". This monitor is the successor to NetCure, the
stand-alone network monitor.

Features of The Beholder are:

	 - continuos monitoring of multiple ethernet segments
	 - reports load, ethernet-types and packet lengths
	 - reports findings using SNMP (via UDP/IP)
	 - supports ping/echo/TFTP
	 - full UDP/IP stack
	 - compatible with SUN NetMgr, MIT SNMP, CMU SNMP
	 - requires standard PC with working packet driver

This is a beta version, and we try to repair bugs and implement new
features as soon as possible. During the beta-test, we will release a
new version every week (if needed).

You can participate in this beta test by downloading the software
using anonymous ftp from:

        dutepp0.et.tudelft.nl

You could help us by sending bugs, comments and requests as soon as
possible. It would also be nice if you could send us a mail when you
