Remail is a function that mm and mh have that preserves the to: and from: lines, and adds resent-to:, resent-date:, and resent-from: lines. A reply to the message uses the original header. Useful when dispatching messages for others to handle, for example. Below is an example of a remailed message header. The original message arrived on a dec-20, mathom, was ftped to a unix system, stout, and was remailed using Columbia MM from there to myself at my normal mail recipient machine, dirt.
