I am a TC member, I don't want things removed. BASIS, as it currently exists, is acceptable to me, but if any changes were to be made, I would prefer to add things rather than remove them. This does not mean that I want to add things to the CORE (required) wordset. By and large, additions, if any, should go in optional wordsets. Every word that is currently in Basis serves a useful purpose. Forth has suffered in the marketplace as a result of the Forth community's past inability to standardize important extensions. The current Basis brings Forth up to a minimally acceptable, but not ideal, level. Mitch Bradley, wmb@Eng.Sun.COM
