I installed it yesterday (on a sun4 running SunOs 4.1), and things started breaking. There's nothing funny about our installation, and I used the same config.sh as for 3.44. Specifically, perl -d on anything resulted in a seg-fault, as did Tom Christiansen's makewhatis (from his man package). I didn't track it down further. (Too many programs are written in perl around here..) This is not a very useful message, but it may help people who are about to spend hours UUCP'ing it.
