Subject: Different Versions of Postscript?

I was playing with some Postscript files.
It appears that I can take ps generated
on the Sun from Interleaf, ftp to a 
Macintosh and then download it to a 
LaserWriter with no problems.

But if I try the reverse it does not 
work, i.e. I capture a print file on 
the Macintosh and then ftp this to 
the sun and lpr it to a LaserWriter.
I end up with a cover sheet and no 
information.

The top of the Sun/Interleaf file says,

%!PS-Adobe-

while the top line of the Mac file says,

%!PS-Adobe-2.0

Is there some sort of version conflict?
I tried to remove the 2.0 but I got the 
same results.
