What about creating a "compiled" version of the filter? It could be something of the format headerfieldexpect stringfilename which should be considerably faster for filter to read than the full test of "if (to contains "howdy") then save /home/greetings". If you have 30+ filters, and the mail coming in happens to hit the last one, it eats up more system resources than if it could skip rapidly thru the file. Whatcha think?
