Hmm, looks like you used the sun version of the Makefile.  Try
editing your copy of the Makefile for your system.  (you can get
a prety generic bsd4.2 makefile by simply removing the sun
specific stuff)  Take a look in the sources for the #ifdefs
and set your Makefile up to define the ones you require.
