FSUUCP supports mail and news, with readnews and |postnews facilities. It's pretty well documanted and may be anonymous ftp'd |from simtel20. You can also send mail to request-fsuucp@polyslo.calpoly.edu. I had some serious troubles with fsuucp; I was told that most of the bugs that I had problems with were fixed in 1.2 . One thing that I _really_ have a problem with is that the default From: lines are unqualified; there's a place for a "logname" and "sysname" (logname is UUCP name, sysname is domain name) and the From: lines by default use logname. The way to use sysname is also misdocumented, so I had to play a bit to get my From: working right. One would think that the default would be a qualified name instead of the absolutely useless unqualified one.
