Would EMM386 loaded before, do > the trick? > What I am using on a 386-33 motherboard with Chips & Technology Chipset and BIOS is QEMM386. I have also successfully used Turbo EMS. Both of these can load high, but QEMM can load ITSELF high, and has programs to load FILES=, BUFFERS=, LASTDRIVE= high also. Running on DOS 4.01, I have 30 files, 50 buffers, lastdrive z, mouse driver, 4DOS, disk cache, ramdisk, ansi.sys, Brooklyn Bridge all loaded high. I have 590k available for programs after all these are loaded. When using Turbo EMS, I had about 540k available. On my previous 286 where I could not load high because of no HARDWARE XMS support, I ended up with 420k available for programs. By the Way, I am no longer using Turbo EMS and would be willing to sell it with original disks and docs. -- ----- Dion Hollenbeck (619) 455-5590 x2814 Megatek Corporation, 9645 Scranton Road, San Diego, CA 92121 uunet!megatek!hollen or hollen@megatek.uucp
