I have created several *.cfg files to handle various protocols and hardware interfaces, i.e. 3270 over coax and SDLC, 5250 over SDLC, APPC over SDLC etc. I did this by copying the default ACSCFG.CFG file to for e.g. APPC.CFG, then used advanced configuration to add other features. Everything seemed to work OK. Then at one point when I went into advanced configuration the boxes that usually appear to let you do things like configuration and keyboard remap were not there !! First, I used `copy' to backup all my config files. I talked to IBM support Level 2 and we used reinst to remove the COMM MGR and then reinst to reinstall. We made sure to select all options i.e. configuration, keyboard remap etc. Next, I started over again by copying ACSCFG.CFG to APPC.CFG and used advanced config to configure it. Again, everything seemed OK, then all of a sudden the problem occured again. When I looked at the available capabilities for ACSCFG.CFG they were OK. But all my other config files had radically different ones. I am totally confused !!! Can anyone tell me what I should do to reestablish the capabilities of my config files ? I don't want delete them and start from scratch because it took me weeks to get all these scenario's to work. I am running on a COMPAQ 286e with a 40 meg hard drive, 4 meg of memory and a monochrome display. Any help is greatly appreciated. Please Email me. I don't always get a chance to read the news. Thanks again.
