We're in the process of making some small robots, but we're haveing some problems with where to get robotics supplies. I'm referring to small parts (all those little nifty things that you find in the drawers of a machine shop). If anyone knows of some mail-order companies that have a good selection of small parts (gears, bearings, pullies, screws, sheet metal, tools, whatever) please let me know. We figured we'd look in the Thomas Register (You know, that big stack of green books that you find in the library that is kind of a business yellow-pages for industrial America) and found a half-inch or so worth of pages all about motors. But so far, the folks we called haven't sent us a thing. We even found a bunch of places that were willing to custom make things, but as with many experimenters, we're on a shoestring budget and custom-machined goods are just too expensive. Most of the stuff we're looking for is small hardware or small parts, and there is not much of a heading for that in the Register. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=+=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= D M Yoshikami :-) ;-) :-) | Internet: yoshikami@usuhsb.ucc.usuhs.nnmc.navy.mil May the Forth be with you! | Bitnet : yoshikami@usuhsb.bitnet *** !!xob X*NU V METSYS T&TA eht ni renosirp dleh gnieb m`I !pleH !pleH *** =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=+=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
