Pro-page is now up to 2.0, 1.2 is two versions behind (1.2, 1.3, now 2.0)
I paid $150 for 1.3 last fall, but only because I knew that 2.0 is coming
out (well, it is out now. I am just waiting for them to mail it to me) and
I would get a free upgrade. It will cost you around $150 more to upgrade
1.2 to 2.0. 

Your best bet is to call gold disk and ask them what the upgrade policy would
be if you got the 1.2 version. The 1.2 version is not very good by todays 
standards in Amiga software. 2.0 is supposed to be real nice.
